Slow bootup with Office 2007 installed

Dear All,

I have a Lenovo X60 tablet with 3GB memory and core 2 duo 1.83GHz processor.
I installed Vista from scratch along with all the device drivers etc. I
rebooted after installing Vista, after installing the updates and after
installing each device driver. Having done all this the boot up time was
around 35 to 40 seconds. However, after installing Office 2007 the boot up
time went up to around 3 minutes. Now I can live with this but it makes me
wonder if there is some more serious issue that will cause problems further
down the line.

When it boots up, it loads the device drivers etc (I have seen this by
starting in safe mode). It then seems to do nothing for around 2 minutes then
it continues on its way and boots up normally. It makes me wonder if it is
trying to connect to some network resource.

I have tried uninstalling Office 2007 but it makes no difference. Once it is
installed the boot up time goes up significantly and stays there.

I have done this complete install twice now and the results were the same
each time. Once the machine has started it is okay and is pretty quick it is
just the boot up time that is a bit odd.

If anyone has any thoughts on this I would appreciate it.
