Slow clock

My OS is Microsoft Windows XP Professional 2002. The clock on my computer is
slow (right now about 18 minutes behind) and is losing time; I re-set it to
the correct time but within a few minutes it reverts back to being 18 minutes
behind. What is causing this, and how can I fix it???

Probably your time server that is synchronizing your computer clock.
Pleas open Windows Help and Support, look up "Synchronizing your
computer clock", and follow the instructions there for changing the server.

Thank you for your response. However, when I looked at the instructions for
synchronizing my computer clock, it said I could only change the server if my
computer was NOT part of a domain, which it is (it's my work computer that
has the slow clock). So, I was unable to fix the problem. No one else in the
domain has reported a problem with the time on their computer, so is it
actually is a time server problem? Does anyone have any other suggestions???
Thanks!

Check the motherboard battery. An old about-to-die-battery will cause the
problem you describe.
