Slow download???

I am creating my website... went to VIEW>REPORTS>PROBLEMS>SLOW PAGES, and
EVERY ONE of my pages is slow... some over 300+ seconds. I dont' understand
this website-building in the first place, nor the language... so I am really
confused. My pictures are all thumbnails...well most of them... I am really
frustrated and confused how to do this properly...

LG,

Just because you made your images smaller in height and width doesn't mean
the image is actually a smaller size (memory size could still be very large).
Check the memory size of your images, keeping them under 300 kb as much as
possible. If the memory size of your pictures is large, it will increase
your download time considerably.

Let me know if you need more help.

If a thumbnail is done at a higher resolution than the 72 or 96 dpi that you
often see, it will greatly increase the filesize even if the picture is
small. Do you have a URL we could look at to see what might be the problem?
Also, sometimes the graphics format itself is a problem. BMP images are
uncompressed and can become very large, even as a thumbnail.

Hope this helps,
