Slow internet after Office 2003 install

I installed Office 2003 and since then I have experienced
very long delays in navigating the internet. I have a
very fast cable modem connection, but it now acts more
like a phone modem. Is there a relationship between this
and the installation of Office 2003? If so, how can the
problem be corrected? Must I return to Office XP to solve
the problem?
