Slow Links in Office 2003

Recently, all of my links are opening slowly with Office 2003. For example,
opening a Word or Excel doc by clicking on it from Windows Explorer, or
clicking a web link in an Outlook email. Sometimes it takes as long as a
minute or two. Can anyone help?
