Slow Load/Save - Task Manager only solution to speed it up

Hi there,

What is wrong with Word that it takes forever to bring up a file or save a
file, but when I go to Task Manager to see if it is frozen, it suddenly loads
or saves.

So now I automatically just go to Task Man. right after opening or saving a
file.

What could cause this? We even got a new computer because the old one was
having other Word Problems at this office.
