Howdy Everyone,
I was wondering if people might have a solution to a problem I've had.
I've searched the internet and tried numerous things but they don't
seem to work.
I just bought a new IBM Thinkpad and installed Microsoft Office 2003
and I'm having serious problems with the time it takes to load
messages. For normal HTML or text messages without attachments it
loads email normally; however, anything with attachments seems to take
5-10 seconds to load, regardless of the size of the attachments. I've
done the following and none of them seem to work:
1) disabled the virus scanner;
2) disable the add-ins, and specifically the MSN Messenger add-in;
3) renamed the outcmd file and allowed a new one to be created; and
4) archived all my old mail so that the outlook.pst file wasn't too
large.
With all of these tried I still have the problem of it loading slowly
for emails with attachments. Has anyone else had this problem and does
anybody have any potential solutions.
