Slow Network Database

We have about a 45Mb Access database on our internal network. It is
currently split, with the front ends on user's desktops and back end on
network. The database runs well when people are at the office site. When
logging in from locations away from the office the database slows down
considerably, even on high speed connections. We thought splitting would
help, but hasn't seemed to help much. I know there is a slight delay because
of the remote access to our internal servers, but is there anything we can do
to make this application quicker for remote access?

Thanks

Access does not work well over a WAN. Have you tried using
Replication?

I wouldn't. I'd run the app on Windows Terminal Server.

Replication is basically needed only when users can't connect to the
mother ship (e.g., on a laptop in the field without an Internet
connection).
