Slow Office 2007

Have some speed issues with Office 2007.

Had Outlook 2002 installed.
Installed Outlook 2007, One Note 2007.
Then later installed Project, Word, Excel, Powerpoint 2007.
All trial versions downloaded in Jan/Feb.

Running on Asus R1F with T5600 & 1024RAM

Was seeing some outlook event windows being very slow to open. Seemed
like hanging, but would eventually come up.

Now all apps other than Outlook take forever to start. Click on icon,
yellow splash screen appears. Then takes approx 3 minutes for window
to open. In mean time splash window does not refresh (goes white if
move window over and the off)

Run diagnostics - all OK. searched the web - found some similar, but
no identical symptoms reported.

Have seen 'requesting/running virus check' in status bar at bottom. Is
this an AVG Free issue? Was installed before Office.

[Frustrated In Atlanta]

I have the same problem and I had an original disc when I installed it. I
haven't been able to find any answers on this subject. My title bar keeps
saying "Not Responding" and then eventually it will respond. This happens
when I make ANY changes in the spreadsheet and it's not a large spreadsheet.
I even tried it on a 2 line spreadsheet and it does the same thing. The
same with printing the file. It prints one page per minute.
