Slow on Novell & Win2000

Hello,

We run Access 97 application (Forms and Data together) on Novell 3.2 and 4.1
(and we tried on Win2000). This data is used by 50 people concurrently. If
the same data is run from the local PC it is very fast but is extremely slow
when it is run off any of the above Network Systems.

Should I change the network, database or file server? I was thinking about
the Linux 8.0 box for the file server and I wonder if anybody used it and
can share their opinions.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Before you do any of those things, you may want to check some performance
tips here:

And, you really should consider splitting your application into a front-end
(everything but tables) and a back-end (tables only). Here is more info on
