Slow opening Excel 2000 file

i have a small Excel file, 4 or 5 worksheets, that takes 5-
8 seconds to open in Excel 97 but 2+ minutes in Excel 2000.

There are no external links or macros and I have tried
saving it as an Excel 2000 file with no change.

Are these different pcs?

if yes, try cleaning up your windows temp folder.

I tried that and it did not help. It has the same problem
on multiple PC's as well.
