Hi
We are experiencing slow opening of office documents over our network from
Sweden to US or other counties. To open a 200K word document take about 30
Sec. If we open the same file locally takes about 5-10 Sec!??
We have tested this issue with office 2000, 2003 and 2007. We have checked
our network and it’s working fine, we don’t have any other problems that we
know of. Is there anyone that knows why this happens? Any solution?
I like to try some thing that might deal with this problem and I need some
help with that. Every time I open an office document, a temp file in the same
directory creates by office, something like this “~$449996.doc†and I believe
that if I change the location where office creates that temp file to a local
location at users PC that will make it faster. What do you think, would this
be a possible?
