Slow paste in word 2003

Everytime I copy something from a webpage and try to
paste it into MS Word 2003 it takes over 60 seconds. if
I do a paste special and select unformatted unicode text,
it pastes immediatley. If I try just a regular paste it
take 60 seconds or longer. Also, if I do a paste special
and select HTML format it takes over 60 seconds.

How can I make the paste menu pick paste as normal text
and not as HTML format?
