Slow Performance From Office Apps

Recently my Word and Entourage 2004 have become very slow. When I delete
something (a sentence) in a word document I will often get the spinning
beach ball for about 20-30 seconds. Also, when clicking to create a new
message, I also get the spinning beach ball for about the same amount of
time. All the other apps, Safari, iPhoto, etc operate at a normal speed.
Computer is a iBook with 1.25 Ghz processor, 1.25 gigs of RAM, and 30 gigs
of free space on the drive. Any suggestions?

Hi Jamie,

Since things were OK previously, but not OK now, is there something you
know of that would have changed your Mac?
