Slow reports after upgrade to office xp?

I recently upgraded from office 97 to office xp. My
access database was upgraded just fine, but for some
reason generating a report - which with office 97 took 10
seconds - now takes 90 seconds. During this period,
access more or less "hangs", but it uses litte CPU. Is
there anything I can do to find out what causes this
delay? There is no errormessage, so I'm out of ideas
where I should start looking.
