slow response if too much ink is inside drawing control

Hi all,

I have users who are using my application embedding visio drawing control.
They are complaining that the more ink they write on the drawing control,
the slower the application gets.

Is there anyway to maintain a constant performance so that the drawing
control doesn't drag the performance?
