Dear MACBU folks and Microsoft engineers:
I am sure that you've heard from many people about the sluggishness of Excel 2008 for handling large files. I've encountered this problem when trying to plot charts while others have had this problem when using vlookup and other functions. It looks like that Excel 2008 doesn't handle large files very well. I've the latest version of Excel 2008, but it is still SLOW.
Is there any hope in sight? Are the developers still working to make Excel 2008 a powerful tool like what it used to be (Excel 2004 or Excel 2003)?
My experience of switching from Windows to Mac has been negatively impacted by less than acceptable performance of Excel 2008. This negative experience might push me back to the "dark side".
Thanks for your reply.
