For some reason, after working in Frontpage for an hour or so, saving a file
on a remote web server takes maybe 45 seconds. If I restart the client pc
and reopen the site, saving files only takes 5 to 10 seconds at most.
Does frontpage have some type of cache that grows as you work and needs to
be cleared to speed operations? This is FP 2003 and the Server is Win 2003
standard.
I know it's not the server because I work on the same site from my laptop
using the same DSL connection and Frontpage saves never slow down. Also,
when my workstation is saving slow, even saving files on my lan-based server
slow down a lot.
Opening sites seem to be fairly snappy, but saving acts like it maybe
checking security credentials or something.
Any ideas?
