Slow selection scroll speed when mouse reaches bottom of page

Perhaps you could use the big white space to elaborate on your title. Are
you complaining about slow selection - or do you want to slow it down? And
what exactly happens at the moment? Does the scroll speed dramatically
adjust at the bottom of a page? A particular page, or all pages, in a
particular document or all documents? Is the action the same regardless of
the position of the end of the page on the screen? What document view are
you working in? What version of Word and Windows might also be relevant - I
don't know what else, without having more to go on to start with.

There is no good way to slow the scroll speed down just for that operation.
You can use the Mouse control in the Control Panel to slow down mouse
scrolling in general. But, that will affect mouse scrolling everywhere.

I usually use a different selection method when spanning multiple pages. The
easiest way using the mouse is to click where you want the selection to
start, use the mouse to scroll to where you want the selection to end, then
Shift+Click at the ending location.

Alternatively, use the keyboard for selection. Put the cursor where you want
the selection to begin, and while holding down the shift key, use the cursor
pad keys (up/down/left/right/PageUp/PageDonw/Home/End) to select.
