I
inzi
Hi there
I am running win XP SP3 & office 07 SP1 on an IBM T61 with 2 gigs ram.
When I double click on a document its quite some time to open (up to a
minute).
When I open excel for instance on its own & then file open the same file its
quick.
I posted this before & recieved the following responce....
Go to Control Panel, Folder Options, File Types, scroll down to and select
DOC(x) for Word files or XLS(x) for Excel files, click Advanced.
Select Open under actions & click the edit Button.
Now uncheck "Use DDE" and then put your cursor in the Application box, arrow
all the way to the right and put in "%1" (include the quote marks),
IF there is /dde remove it. Then OK you way out. Things should work quickly
again.
I tried that & it sped it up a a little but its still slow.
Any suggestions?
