Slow when I need to change folders to save/open files in Office ap

When I try to save an attachment from Outlook using "save as" or when I try
to open or save a file in any Office application (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
and I want to switch to a different folder/directory, it takes about 30
seconds to show my list of folders. This just started happening yesterday.

I have Office 2003 and Windows XP. I suspected a virus/spyware, so I
downloaded the most recent Symatec AntiVirus definitions and scanned my
hardrive. Nothing found. I also ran SpySweeper and AdAware. They also found
nothing. I downloaded and installed the most recent Windows udpates (about
two weeks ago now) -- it seems strange to me that a glitch in the udpates
would take so long to show up.

Thanks for any insight anyone can provide!

One of your "mapped drives" isn't available. R-click on the drive in
question and disconnect it.

Thanks. Sorry to be dense -- I only have one mapped drive and it's
disconnected already. Is there something else I should do to disconnect it?

Does it still appear in Windows Explorer? If so, R-click on the drive
icon and pick disconnect.
