Slow Word 2003 after compatibility pack for Office 2007

Hi Group

I have this strange problem, I have a customer running:
Microsoft Server 2003 Terminal
Microsoft Office 2003 STND edition

They are running som mail merge from a SQL-source

But a couple of days ago I have installed compatibility pack for Office 2007
after that Microsoft Word is strating very slow (about 20-30 seconds) when
the try to merge from the source.

I've tried to uninstall compatibility pack for Office 2007
but it does not help.

Please help
