slow

I recently updated 2003 to 2007 ultimate and my computer seems to process
much more and slows down a fair bit. Internet is resonably slower. My laptop
is a toshiba Satellite M30 with 2 GB RAM, 1.60 GHz 1600Mhz

My computer also is running extremely slow since I upgraded to Office 2007. I
have spent the better part of the last two weeks with not only Microsoft Tech
support but also HP tech support. I have a brand new laptop (2GB memory and
160 GB hard drive) and when I was running the trail version of Office 2007
everything ran fine and my computer moved very fast. THEN.....I bought the
upgrade (already had Office 2003) and installed it on my new computer (found
out later that I needed to unintstall the trail version) So OK did that
reinstalled the upgrade endless problems, particularly with Outlook - it
keeps on shutting down, bogging down my system and giving me all kinds of
problems. I just finished talking to tech support (Microsoft all afternoon)
and HP (all evening) trying to get these issues resolved. I uninstalled
Office 2007 AGAIn and reinstalled it. All temp files, cookies etc deleted.
Addins to Outlook have been deleted. Registry files repaired (HP). Everything
appeared to be fine - but you guessed it, Outlook started "hanging" up again.
I am ready to go back to Office 2003 (although I really like some of the
Excel 2007 features). HELP!!! I am very frustrated as I do not expect this
from a new computer nor new software.

Similar issues. Several friends have the same problem.
Seems that an upgrade from 2003 results in slower performance than a 'clean'
install and even this is slower than 2003. I'm at a loss. Sincerely hope
someone can offer a solution coz seriously considering reverting which would
be a real shame.
