Slowness of OL2002 Notes connector

I've noticed how slow this connector is -- Is this just a
factor of the MAPI libraries that come with Lotus Notes?

For instance, I have a 140MB mailfile -- it took several
attempts over a few hours to get the whole thing down.
And doing a send/receive isn't the speediest thing
either. I guess it's really noticable because Notes
accesses the mailservers pretty quickly.

What is the timeframe for the next version? I also have
some feedback about formatting. Would love to be able to
give input to the team developing it.

I also have the same problem. So I archived off emails
older than 3 months and reduced the size of my PST file to
13MB. This helped BUT Outlook still takes time to get
going. 30 secs to open and another 30 secs to get quick
switches between views. Send and Receive still seems to
stall around the 80-90% stage.
