Small Multiple WMFs Disappear in WD2003

Small WMFs are used as icons in text boxes in multiple places in a
student text word file. The graphics keep disappearing but other
graphics including multiple large coreldraw files still show.

This problem shows up in multiple files including some with a size
greater than 15mB.

What methods might be used to make the graphics more reliable?

Previous versions of word mention registry settings of cache size and
bitmapmemory. Is this still used in Wd2003?

The WMFs may be moving around the document (this can happen when the
document reflows, e.g., when you edit it.) Try locking the anchors of the
images, changing their position from relative to absolute (or vice-versa),
or putting images in line with text in table cells.
