Smart Tag Lists (MOSTL) And Parentheses

When working with Smart Tag Lists (MOSTL) in Word 2007, it recognizes the
term only if there is a space after it. For example, the following are
recognized and tagged: XXX (XXX <XXX

But not: XXX) XXX> XXX.

Since many of the terms fall inside parentheses, such as (XXX), the term is
not recognized. This makes smart tags almost completely unusable.

How can you make MOSTL tags recognize these terms?

Never mind.

I just noticed that the file sent to me had spaces at the end of each line.
Rather than not working, Smart Tags were working fine: It was expecting a
space at the end. When fixed, it also works as expected.
