I'm using Microsoft Word 2003 with Windows Messenger 5.0 on Windows XP SP1 machine. I've enabled Smart Tags for both Person Names and Person Names outlook recepient
The office help shows following tw requirements for showing Instant Messaging (IM) options for a name
1. The Person name (Outlook e-mail recipients) smart tag only displays the smart tag when the name is resolved to an individual that was previously e-mailed from Outlook
2. Online status is available for any person whose instant messaging e-mail address you have added to your instant messaging contact list
I've completed the both. But still Word does not show me IM options (presense status and Send IM) in Smart Tag options. But I get these options are available in Outlook 2003. What could be the reason?
One thing I can think of is like this, the Windows Messenger shows contact as "Gaurav" while Outlook as "Gaurav Khanna". But if I type only "Gaurav" in Word, it does not recognize it as a Person name? Any Idea
