Smart tags

I have a user smtp address that does not want to stay in the smart tag list.
i.e. .NK2 file.

we add him daily and the next day his smtp address is gone again, we do
re-add the name easily via the address book. but again the next day it's gone
again. etc. etc.

with deleting the .Nk2 file is there a way to 1. keep a longer smart tag
list, or 2. prevent this email name from going away?

thx

Is this the only address that doesn't stick? How do you add it? What
version of Outlook? I wouldn't call the NK2 file a "smart tag list".

tsmare Hi Brian, I think there might be a few more, but because the user,
uses this one daily it's the most notable. it's outlook 2003 and I just read
add it by going to the address book and selecting it.

Hmm I thought the Nk2. was historical file.. is the Nk2 file different from
the smart tag list..

I think if i'm hearing you right, I want the name to just pop into the TO
address field as he starts to type it.

thx

You must resolve the address in order for Outlook to write it to the
autocompletion cache.

It is an historical file. It remembers the most recent 1,000 addresses to
which you've sent mail. I have no idea what you mean by "smart tag list".

And that's what the NK2 file does. There are situations that can cause
Outlook to fail to write an updated NK2 file to disk if Outlook doesn't
close properly, but this would happen for every new address, not just one
particular address.
