Smart way of referencing information

I was wondering if there is a way of making reference to many cells of information that could be combined in a ordered way and presented in a cell that would be programmed to reformat (merge, wrap, shrink to fit) depending on the size and amount, or possibly even determine it's own size depending on the information provided. I am suspicious that an insurance website that I have used before was doing this (taking in large amounts, ad various types of information, and formatting itself to present itself properly. The only thing is I only saw the PDF's so there was no way for me to look into it. Maybe I'm asking for too much but who knows - if someone has any cool examples of spreadsheets I would like to check them out. Thanks.

No idea what you'd consider "cool", but certainly XL is capable of
producing complex text strings based on entries in other cells.

Do you have a more specific idea of what you're looking for?
