SmartArt and hyperlinks

How do I assign a hyperlink to different parts of one SmartArt graphic? The
only think I have been able to do is insert a hyperlink for the graphic as a
whole and not the sub-parts individually.

I am using Office 2007.

I've never tried it but can you position small 'no fill' 'no line' rectangles
over your SmartArt and refer to them ?
