I am trying to create a template for organization charts in SmartArt
(PowerPoint,) but I keep running into obstacles. I hope someone here has the
answer to my question.
What I want in short, is to create a SmartArt organization chart, and then
save the ppt-file to let the next person who opens it add new figures which
will be formatted in exact the same way as the existent. Right now, the
contour and fill colours are inherited, but not the colour of the connected
line or the figure (I want rounded corners.)
I read in this discussion group that it unfortunately is not possible to
create an own template/theme for SmartArt. To create that kind of "default
chart" would of course be the best solution, but if I can't do that, I would
at least want to be able to add figures that will look the same as the one
"above" in the chart.
My other question concerns the text format. Is there a way to stop the text
in other figures from formatting automatically, just because I change it in
one figure? For instance, when I have a long text in one of the figures, the
short text in the next figure changes automatically. It looks pretty silly
having a short word in font size 9 right in the middle of a big box.
I am grateful for any help I can get...
Thanks!
