Visio cannot open SmartDraw files, but it can open enhanced metafiles (EMF),
which you can save to in SmartDraw.

Thanks for your reponse.

Can anything be done with EMF files? I tried saving and importing in various
formats, but it looked like the SmartDraw flowchart came in as one image.

Yes - if you ungroup the EMF object it should be broken up into individual
shapes.
