SmartSource for Microsoft Office Downloads

When I first joined the Office Beta 2 program I downloaded this program as a
conduit for downloading additional components of the Office 2007 family.
However it has never worked. Each time I run the program it starts a User
Profile Synchronization. After entering my email address, it begins
transferring profile data. It never completes the transfer as I receive the
following error message:

ERROR!
User profile synchronization cannot proceed! The email address provided is
invalid! Please contact customer support or try again.

I am entering a legitimate email address. In fact, I tried an alternate as I
have a couple of Passport profiles but it failed as well.

Since this program will not work how do I find other components to download
& test?

The SmartSource download approach for the Office 2007 beta wasn't working up to expectations and you can do the downloads of the
products directly by using the 'Get the Beta' page from link #1, below.
