SMIME problems

I have a client trying to import an SMIME digital
certificate into Outlook. What she cannot do is import
into her digital ID. She can decrypt the emails I sent
through the public key, but cannot export to other
machines or encrypt messages herself.
Any ideas?

I am not totally sure I followed your problem but,

For "her" to encrypt messages to you she will need your digital ID (public
key), send her a signed plain text email and get her to update your entry in
her contact list with your public key.
To do this "she" should:
Open the mail with your digital id attached,
right click on your email address,
select add to outlook contact.
Then save the contact selecting update existing contact if she already had
you as a contact.
This should add your public key to he contacts entry for you. She should
then be able to encrypt the next message to you.

If she wants to read the message you sent her in encrypted format on another
machine she will need to install her key set on the other machine. Save it on
the machine that works and then import it into outlook on the new machine.

Hope this helps
