We are experiencing couple of issues that I am not sure what to do wth.
First, when we run the Smoke test tool with more than 2 iterations on our
network, it will go through all the scripts but no results.xml file entries
will be created and the results page will not be displayed at the end of
SmokeTest run. With two iterations it will stil fail sometimes. The only way
to get results consistently is to run just one iteration at the time.
Also, we are experiencing failure of ViewProjectOpen script if the previous
two scripts fail. (ViewResourceOpen and ViewResourceAvailabilityOpen) We do
not have permissions set for ViewResourceOpen and
ViewResourceAvailabilityOpen scripts but have the permissions set correctly
for ViewProjectOpen script. It is really bizzare behaviour because we can
logon manually using the same user account used for SmokeTest runs and
execute all the steps manually just fine - that would suggest that it is not
caused by missing permission. When we add permissions to execute
ViewResourceOpen and ViewResourceAvailabilityOpen scripts, interestingly
enough ViewProjectOpen script finishes just fine as well.
I realize that MS does not provide any support for this tool but I am
interested if anybody else out there experienced the same behaviour.
