SMS SUS and Office2k patches

I want to use the SMS SUS and push out patches to machines that office2k prm is installed via setup.exe and mst from admin point.
If i run the .msp file on the machine ,it works.(like sp3)SMS SUS is detecting applicable patches but it wants to download the client updates.I can go to the folder in sms,and put there the .msp file, after is extracted(full file update)Then in SMS SUS i can do import and specify the .msp file to run with /q also.But ,it does not patch the product.
Anyone knows if this is possible,and why the msp files dont patch the product when run from SMS SUS.
