Ok, I have a client that has a bunch of users that work remotely using
SMTP and POP3. They wanted me to secure the transmissions, so I
installed a GoDaddy site SSL cert and put it on the server. I
currently have 3 SMTP virtual server, one non-ssl which we will be
phasing out, 1 on port 465 and one on port 587. The server is only
accepting TLS, and not SSL on both the Secure SMTP virtual servers. I
think this because thunderbird and Outlook 2007 allows access via TLS
on not just SSL. Outlook 2003 doesn't seem to work with these
settings, and won't let me specify the type of certificate, so I am
trying to get it to communicate via SSL only. Is there another step,
or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance!
