Snap to grid and/or shape

No one with any suggestions?

Snap to grid and/or shape

(Excel: mac 2001 but will also have to run on PC 2000)

Having formed an object with ŒSnap to grid¹ and/or ŒSnap to shape¹, how can
I unsnap it and change the size and position at will?

Deselecting Snap to Grid and Snap to shape before selecting the object does
not work for me - as soon as the object is selected the snap buttons are
selected.

There must be settings for the object which I have not found yet - nothing
in Object Format - must be deeper but where?

Hi Francis,

I'm using Excel 2004, so your results may be different.

In order to toggle the snap-to-grid and snap-to-shape features, the
objects must be selected before you toggle the feature on or off.

In Excel 2004 this works as expected.

Thanks, Jim - all's well now - all these years and I haven't twigged that!
