Snapshot and Print Preview Crashing

G

Glenn

I have discovered a reproducible bug in Excel (version 10.1.0
(2015)and newer) on Mac OS X (10.2.2,3,4,5,6). The bug causes Excel to
"Unexpectedly Quit" and I have been able to reproduce it on several
machines. (To date I have been able to reporduce it on every machine I
have tried)

Here is the process...

1) Using the "Camera" tool take a snapshot of a group of cells.
2) Switch to another sheet within the same document and place the
snapshot.
3) Use the "Print Preview" command to view the sheet containing the
snapshot.
4) Close the "Print Preview" window.
5) Watch as Excel bails.

Has anyone found a solution to this issue?

Maybe I didn't follow your instructions (I think I did) but Excel X for Mac
didn't crash after I did this.

I'll confirm that crash. Happens for me too.

I used the cmd-shift-4 shortcut, not the camera tool. The camera tool does
as you said.
