Snapshot Viewer for XP Pro?

I just started using Snapshot Viewer but am having problems. I upgraded my
XP Home Edition to XP Pro last year. Now, whenever I start Snapshot Viewer,
I am prompted to insert the Windows XP Pro Office cd, which I don't have.
The upgrade to XP Pro was done over the internet. I get an error message
everytime I start Snapshot Viewer. I am able to x out the error messages and
the program runs, but I want to be able to get rid of the error messages. My
Version of Access is 10.6771.6735 SP3. How can I get around this problem?

I would try downloading a fresh copy of the Snapshot viewer utility and
installing it.

Tom, I made an error. I DO have the Office XP Pro discs and the Windows XP
Professional w/SP2 discs. I followed your advice and downloaded the Snapshot
Viewer again, but I still get the same error message. There is a file that
is missing that is needed. It is called PRORET.MSI. It is not on any of the
XP Office or Windows XP Pro discs. Am I missing another disc that I don't
have?

Hi TJS,

I searched my hard drive for the same file name, and I do not have any such
file. I found a reference to this filename in a KB (Knowledge Base) article,
by performing a search for PRORET.MSI:

..Msi File Name on the CD-ROM
If the Windows Installer .msi package file name on the root of your Office
XP CD-ROM contains "ret" or "tri" (for example, Proret.msi or Protri.msi),
you have a Retail edition. If it does not contain "ret" or "tri" (for
example, Pro.msi), you have an Enterprise edition.


Does your Office installation disk contain a Protri.msi or Pro.msi file in
the root folder? If so, then I would think that it has what it needs. My
Office XP Developer CD includes a file named PROPLUS.MSI in the root drive
(3,403 KB).

Have you tried initiating a repair of Office? Open any Office XP program.
Click on the Help menu. Select the item that reads "Detect and repair..."
