so slow opening

Word has become so incredibly slow when I open it on my MAC OSX. It takes
forever, and then once it opens, any movement within takes equally as long.
I can't work in it at all at this point. In addition, I tried to re-install
but there is no apparent improvement.

What should I do?

Work through the standard troubleshooting tips, listed here:

(hit refresh a few times in Safari, or use a different browser)

Alternatively, test it in a new user account. If the new account works,
switch over to it. If you would rather try to keep your user account, work
through the troubleshooting tips. If the new user account doesn't work, go
straight to the page's instructions for Remove and Reinstall.

Slow to launch might suggest a font issue.
