software on donated computers

The company I work (a 501(c)) for is wanting to give some
of our older computers away to disabled children who don't
have computers. These systems run Windows 98. Some of
the systems have Office 97, but a concern has been raised
about licensing violations in passing on this software.
We certainly do not want to violate licensing agreements.
Can anyone clarify what we can and can't do legally?

Thanks,
JFV

Did the software come with the PC?

Some of the PC's came with Office 97, additional Office 97
programs were purchased separately as well.
