I was planning on buying a new computer. I have the office
xp software currently installed on my old ocmpouter. Is
there a way to install it on the new one? How would I do
this, since I think there's some rule about registering it
to only one computer.

If the version of your Office software was purchased through the
manufacturer of your computer and it is not in a retail box, it is
considered OEM and cannot be transferred to any other system, anytime,
anyplace, under any circumstances.
