Solution to SWF "run once" problem?

V

Vladi

Has anyone found a solution to this trouble which has been reported since a
few years ago?

I've been experimenting with insertion of a FLV file with a SWF skin created
in Adobe Flash CS4. The FLA bundle plays (after "save") perfect first time
but after "close" and "open" PP2003 shows only a blank screen.

Changing "play movie" from "false" to "true" as well as installing
Flashback or PFCmedia don't work, let alone the latter is a suspicious piece
of software which doesn't want to deinstall properly.

What control are you placing on the slide to play the file?

As far as uninstalling PFCMedia, did you shut PPT down and then use the
Add/Remove applet as instructed? I don't know what you call suspicious
about it to be honest. 10s of thousands (no exaggeration) have used it
without problems.

First of all, it didn't solve a run once problem of swf. Then, it installed
tones of useless stuff which I lived fine without until now. Finally, this
application does what I can easily do without it.

Yes, it does require .NET and the Office run times. sigh...

As far as inserting the SWF file and its not working, van you explain
exactlly how you inserted it?

Using a source flv file, I created a swf file and a skin file (controls) in
Flash CS4. Afterwards, I inserted a swf file as a flash object. Needless to
say that all the stuff was in the same directory with correct names and
paths.
