Solved: Delay in opening words docs.

Please ignore my last posting about delay in opening Word docs.

Randomly browsing threads, I found a discussion about the Acrobat 6.0
slowing the operation of Word. The proferred fix, removing an Acrobat
add-in file from an Office/Word folder, worked for me!

but tell me, what functions exactly did I just lose?

[whatever they were, they can't have been worth the incredibly
annoying delay in Word!]

THe PDF plug-in is there for a good integration in WOrd. You can get a
PDF from your file in One click... I find this really useless since it
is not much trouble to get the PDF from the "virtual printer" for
Acrobat 6.0,
