Solver Error

I have a recent problem with Solver. I used it with success but I now receive messages that the 'document needs to have macros enabled'. This occurs with both old and new files. As a result, enabling macros does resolve issue. The next error is that the macro file cannot be located. The file is the Solver add-in located in my directory with the exception that it ends with ....xls!STUB'. I don't know why this is happening. Any ideas?
