some e-mails blocked on one computer

My client is running Small Business Server 2003 version1. Exchange hosts
their e-mails. One computer on the network is experiencing blocking of emails
from certain senders. this sender can email to another computer on the
network. The email is then forwarded to the first computer and received OK.
They are using Office Professional 2003. I have checked the blocked senders
list and junk email rules and have added the troublesome email addresses to
the safe senders list. We have tried Office repair.
Since this is happening on only one computer I don't think the server or the
firewall is causing the problem unless it is something in this users account
settings.
Would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks,
Frank M

Blocked in what way? You mean it is moved to the Junk Email folder when
received?

The messages in question are never received by the machine having the problem.
If the same message is sent to another machine on the network and forwarded
to the first machine it is received OK. this happens only to messages from
two or three senders. Most other e-mails are received OK.

Is this from senders within the Exchange organization or from outside the
organization?
Are there any rules configured with the Delete action?
Do the messages show up in OWA?

HI,
The missing messages are all from outside the organization. There are no
rules to automatically delete. We are not using Outlook Web Access. Any other
suggestions?

Hi,
We finally found the cause of the problem. The cached exchange mode setting
in outlook was causing the problem. Once unchecked the problem was fixed.
Just wanted to let you know the resolution of the issue and thank you for
your assistance.

I would recommend that you delete the existing OST and then reenable Cached
Exchange mode.

This computer is a desktop on a wired Lan. We use roaming profiles. Why do
we even need cached exchange mode. We never have to work offline.

There's more to Cached Exchange mode than working offline, but if you're
happy with it disabled, then please use it that way.
