Some e-mails not rec'd from server

There are 3 computers that can access my e-mail acct. (2 use OE and 1 has
been upgraded from OE to Outlook 2003). All are set to delete e-mails on the
server after 6 days. The upgraded computer uses McAfee w/full blown
protection. The ISP's server is randomly dropping some (not all) incoming
e-mails on a daily basis. Before I "grill" (again) the tech support of my
ISP, I just want to verify this concept:
Using OE or Outlook 2003 shouldn't make a difference to the ISP
sending/receiving e-mails...right?

Nope, but I would recommend disabling the integration of McAfee with Outlook
as it doesn't add an additional level of security anyway and is very likely
the source of your issues.

OK Roady...are you suggesting that I disable the e-mail scanning portion of
McAfee only, or are there other McAfee protection options that need to be
disabled as well? I am definitely concerned about preventing incoming e-mail
viruses...how will I be protected?

Default Outlook security settings and an on-access scanner are enough.
