Some files are not downloading

I am using Groove 2007 for the first time to share a folder on my desktop
with my laptop over my network. I set up the folder to share, removed file
extension restrictions so it will sync .exe and other executables, imported
the .grv file to the laptop and set it to sownload all files.

Problem is that it has not downlaoded all files:
Desktop folder has 342Mb in 4739 files in 226 folders
Laptop folder has 328Mb in 4709 files in 226 folders.

I found a screen that says 1 file was skipped (extension .sav - is there any
way to avoid that?), and another that said that communication was idle and
another that said all files were read, so my questions are:

1. how do I find out what the other 38 missing files are?
2. how do I complete the download? - looking at the Laptop there are a
number of files that have not downloaded (presumably 14Mb of them which is
probably about 200 or so).
3. Exaclty where in Groove can I go to get a definitive statement of whether
my sync is up to date?

Also after I rebooted the workspace does not show up on the Laptop. The
Desktop says the LapTop is connected and active and if I right clcik a
groove shortcut and ask for the file to be downloaded I get it but yesterday
I had the folder listed in the groove Launchbar on both computers.

I have a part solution - most of the balance of 14Mb finally downloaded
though I am surprised how long it took.

I still need to find out which files are missing however, and ideally find
out how to check the sync is up to date.

Hi Lorne,
What you are probably running into is restricted file types. These files
will not be synchronized and will be skipped. Go to Options > Preferences >
Security > File Restrictions to check out this setting.
