some incoming emails message text is not vosible

I am using Outlook 2007/XP. In some incoming emails, I am not able to see the
text. I have to highlight the message, edit and change font color to read the
message. Or. I 'reply' and then highlight text area and change font color to
read the message. I have tried changing mail format but does not help. Any
suggestions?

Are you using Stationery or a Theme? What happens if you remove the
stationery and set the theme to none?
